Febgiving
Friday, February 26, 2010 at 7:22PM I feel so fortunate to have amazing foodie friends. So amazing, in fact that my friends Jim and Becca invented a new food holiday to get us through the drab darkness of winter in Minnesota. They've called it Febgiving and, quite simply, there was food. You know I'm a sucker for a dinner party, but I wasn't feeling up to many photographs as I had spent a good portion of the day at the Food and Wine Experience, which after a few hours would leave anyone feeling a bit, we'll say, "tired". So my apologies go out to all of the other 17 people of whom I did NOT take pictures, not to mention the food. So in the spirit of my motto for that day: I blame the wine!
Of course I need a roasting oven I can keep in the living room!

Becca may be the only person on earth to love cats as much as (dare I say more than??) me.

The traditional Febgiving toast!

The World Premiere of Cornish Gamehenge. God I love puns.

You know it's a real party if there are commemorative menus!

Taking our turns at trying out the canned oxygen (for sale at Lunds and Byerly's) in Grapefruit flavor... Okay, I took like 20 turns. I really wanted to feel something, but I'm pretty sure the wine I had to drink that day was already making me feel a bit... loopy.

dinner parties,
